⊙ <the Blob Shop in Hamburg: it’s a wrap/> Blob Shop Collective’s first fair outside the Netherlands! So happy to be part of two art book fairs in Germany this month: Indiecon in Hamburg and Between Books in Düsseldorf.
Indiecon had a great venue (Oberhafen, Hamburg) - in a big hall over old train platforms; a lovely crowd - met other makers like ourselves; and a really sweet team - welcoming and warm! We presented our publications and collective there on Sunday and the day before I facilitated a workshop - an audiozine making experience on the topic of the future of publishing.

● <up next: an art residency in Cyprus/> After this wonderful Summer in the Netherlands and Bulgaria, the next stop is Cyprus! I am really happy, excited and thankful to be selected for the upcoming CYENS ThinkerMakerSpace residency in partnership with the EdMedia Lab. There, I will work on my art project between September and December and the working title is “Future Design”. With my research and experiments, I will try to create a serious game about our involvement in shaping the future. Also, can’t wait to meet the other artists, all coming from different corners of Europe! Will keep you posted on how is it going ;-)

💭 <Farewell, Nomadways /> I joined Nomadways in 2016 and since then was a part of the core team of the association. This was a remarkable journey that played a big role in who am I today, and the way I work. During those years, I’ve met so many inspiring people, many of whom I can still call friends. Even though I will miss the experiences we create as a team and the warm energy of my dear Ilaria and Hélène, it was time for me to close this chapter and free space for new directions.
Now Nomadways will have a new future. If you are interested in what it holds and/or even in joining the team, have a look here. You can attend our General Assembly (17th September, 17:00-19:00 CET) and meet us online!
